J. (Jan) Jonker is professor of Sustainable Development at the Nijmegen School of Management at Radboud University Nijmegen (The Netherlands). His research focuses on the development and implementation of sustainable and circular business models and how they create change and transition. Many people consider him a kind of ‘academic activist’, wanting to create change and to have impact through his work. In his country, he has been listed for seven years in a row among the Top-100 most influential ‘Green’ Dutch people. Previously he also held the Pierre de Fermat Chair in Toulouse and the Emile Francqui Chair in Brussels. In 2020 he did the Dutch National Speech on Sustainability. He is author of 35 books and over 200 publications.
