Gert-Jan Gruter

Gert-Jan Gruter (Catalysis & Polymer Chemist) is CTO of Avantium and professor Industrial Sustainable Chemistry at the University of Amsterdam. He works on novel processes from carbohydrates to monomers and subsequent polyesters, on biorefinery Technology for 2G sugars (cascading), on CCU: CO2 to polyester monomers, on chemical recycling, on plastic pollution and on consumer psychology.
