Floor Alkemade is full professor Economics and Governance of Technological Innovation at TU/e. She is the chair of the Technology, Innovation, and Society Group. She holds an MSc in Artificial Intelligence and a PhD on Agent-Based Evolutionary Economics, before moving into the area of Sustainable Development and Innovation Governance by joining the Copernicus Institute of Sustainable Development at Utrecht University. She is one of the co-chairs of the Fair Energy Transitions Network. Floor received both the prestigous Veni and Vidi personal grants from the Dutch National Research Organisation. Here research is on identifying and harnessing social tipping points from a systems integration perspective using social simulation. Floor is also on the core team of the NEON-crossover project, that aims at accelerating the energy and mobility transition in the Netherlands. She is associate editor of the journal Technological Forecasting and Social Change.
