Eefje Cuppen is Professor of Governance of Sustainability at the Faculty of Governance & Global Affairs of Leiden University. Her research interest is in participation, conflict and co-creation in policymaking and planning for sustainability. She has expertise on design of stakeholder dialogue, public engagement and responsible innovation, all within the context of complex socio-ecological/ -technical systems. She is particularly interested in the dilemma’s and uncertainties that inevitably come with decision-making for sustainability, and how these are, and can be, dealt with in decision-making.
