Diana Visser is Senior Director Sustainability at Corbion, a leading biobased chemicals and sustainable food ingredients company. In this role she leads the development and execution of Corbion's global sustainability strategy, integrating sustainability throughout the company, to ensure that the company’s sustainability effort enhances business performance and supports the long-term interests of the company. Corbion’s purpose is to preserve what matters, by preserving food and food production, health and the planet.
Diana has a MSc in Chemical Engineering and a holds PhD in Biotechnology, both obtained at the Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands. Diana has over 20 years of experience in R&D and innovation, focused on the development of biobased processes, products and applications and has held several positions in the Food Ingredients area of the company. In these various roles, she has been responsible for the management of R&D projects related to the development of new biobased products and for the innovation portfolio of the market unit Food. She is (co-) author of many articles and patents.
In 2020, Diana was elected as SDG pioneer of the Netherlands by UN Global Compact for building an all-round/innovative strategy on SDGs targets and impact at Corbion and integrating the SDGs in business processes.
